This photograph is part of a series called "Domestic Choreographies". In each photograph in which I stage myself, the decor is of great importance and enriches the main idea of ​​the photo. For this image, I decided, with humor and self-mockery, to draw inspiration from the pictorial genre of still lifes, from the filmmaker Buster Keaton of the 1920s, from whom I draw a lot of my inspiration, or from the works of Samuel Beckett and his interest in the absurd and the human condition. This photography is quite representative of my work because I have always been interested in the tiny border that can exist between the burlesque and the dramatic in our most banal everyday gestures. I like to exaggerate them, change the proportions of objects or the point of view. How the image can make us doubt how to perceive reality.
