When I lose track of the path connecting the red blocks on the slope of the mountain, I always hear the sutras from somewhere. Little wooden houses for Tibetan Buddhist monks sprawl all over the Larung valley at an elevation of about 4,000m. The Larung-Gar is the largest and influential center of Tibetan Buddhist studies in the world.
