The Wadden Sea is a World Heritage Site and the largest contiguous wetland on earth and unique in the world. The wind, the salt and fresh water and the tide provide a unique dynamic landscape that is a food paradise for many animals. The sand flats and channels change course and seawater washes over the salt marshes. Weather, wind and tide determine the color, texture and atmosphere of the wetland. It is this endless dynamism that makes the Wadden Sea Region special. During my walks colors, smells, sounds and the visual treats excite my senses. I captured this photographically. Several layers memories, feeling, creativity, colors and imagination merged together to one image The image that emerges is my tide-land.
