Journalist born in Brittany, I live in New York for ten years. I recently wrote a book called, New York Apocalypse (Blacklephant Edition), which recounts the unprecedented period that New York has gone through over the past two and a half years as well as the events that have marked the United States (George Floyd, the presidential, the Capitol assault). I thus took more than 17,000 images in a deserted and ghostly New York that I walked through between March 16, 2020, the date on which I made the decision to cover the pandemic, and the end of June 2022. I tell my story in the first person as a field journalist, a practice I have always used. I take the reader by the hand to testify from unpublished photos, unrolling my logbook with my fears and my daily fears while highlighting the courage of the first lines without which New York would have collapsed. My book also sheds light on New Yorkers' rage to live despite the resurgence of old demons such as crime and violence. My meetings with readers also make me realize how much everyone needs to talk about their own experience in the aftermath of this health crisis which has changed our vision of life and the world. I wrote this book not to forget and also to highlight all the fights carried out in the name of life and justice. Please let me know if you would like me to send you a copy. Thanks a lot for your time and consideration.
