Vibrant tribal cultures that have remained unchanged for probably centuries in one of the most remote corners of the globe; Papua New Guinea. The color of their daily life is already very colorful, but it will be more colorful with the biggest vibe for the annual festival. Mt. Hagen festival is one of the annual festivals in Papua New Guinea. The venue is simple, it looks like a soccer court. There is no shade, nor cover. People, including children, just gather from the neighborhood to show off their traditional dance and song. I didn’t count how many tribes gathered but “a lot” is the word I could say at least. This tribe in the picture formatted a long line to swing their skirt-like costume. It somehow reminds me of Irish dance. Each time they moved their bodies to the sound of drums, the hem was waving. I could keep watching for hours. There were so many tribes indeed but I think this tribe was the most impressive. They were well prepared in terms of performance and hand-made costumes. You know what ? They have a women team as well. Women also wear similar costumes and face painting. Can you imagine what kind of rendition they perform when you look at the picture ?
