The early morning sun was just peeping over the eastern horizon, as the boat eased up to a roosting tree which had its roots in the river. I waited until the roosting African Darter’s body had sheltered the direct sun rays, and captured a short burst of images, and managed to capture a perfectly rim-lit African Darter silhouette.
