This is the second of my series of New York fire escapes, which to me are an iconic feature of this unique city. I particularly love the green & red contrast in this one. In order to add a small touch of human presence I blended in my son who is reading a Harry Potter book. The series is meant as an uplifting collection to escape everyday reality during the height of the pandemic. Not in order to close our eyes to the problems, but to find strength and inspiration in an imaginary world of rhythm, color and creative joy.
