Reflected Realities explores the transformative potential of reflections on water and glass, where the familiar world dissolves into abstract, symbolic forms. These images are not mere documents of reality but reconstructed fragments that blur the boundary between presence and illusion. Reflection becomes both the echo of existence and a projection of the subconscious. Through distortion, layering, and refraction, ordinary urban and natural scenes are reshaped into a liminal space that resists certainty. The act of looking itself becomes central: the viewer is confronted with images that oscillate between recognition and estrangement, between clarity and ambiguity. The series emphasizes rhythm—some frames are stark and restrained, like frozen shards of ice; others are vivid, burning with intensity, like fire piercing the surface. This interplay of cold and warm tones mirrors the dualities of human experience: order and chaos, reality and fiction, self and other. By staging these visual tensions, the work underscores photography’s philosophical potential—not as a tool of reproduction, but as an apparatus of inquiry. Reflected Realities proposes that to gaze upon a reflection is to question the stability of perception itself. What we see may be both the world and its shadow, both truth and illusion. In this ambiguity lies the essence of contemporary seeing: fractured, fluid, and perpetually in flux.
